Hey guys, besides the jimmy, i currently have an 89 prelude 4ws and just bought a 87gti. The GTI i actually bought for a friend until he could get the cash to buy it from me but its been with me for a few months and i might be stuck with it. Im not really a veedub fan but im thinking of selling the prelude and keeping the GTI as a project car. It needs some body work and a paint job until it will look good. But i have the funds for some other parts as well. So my question is, keep the GTI and go ahead with some mods (just show) or Try to sell it and stick with the prelude (no mods).

Dude if i sell the jimmy ill be buying another suv. And id'e rather mod one of these cars instead of trying to sell em and buy something else.

Did Ben sell his engine yet?

Anyway, the GTi is a much better platform than the prelude. I say ditch the gutless honda and represent the euro!

I wouldnt call the honda gutless, ive raced it against 2 golfs and it came out the winner many times:D, but im not looking for speed in either of the cars.

I think the fenders look way better without the black flares

Good choice. Get your ass down to Concept-1 and have fun. I prefer the euro look myself. This is what I will be doing with my dub very soon... just think in white... and no wagon... obviously.

Different wheels. Like the ones in the photos -- or maybe something different.

if you are going w/o fender flares, go for euro small bumpers. big bumpers only look good if you are going with big flares and big windowed front doors.

if you want a good example of a vw, take a look at benny's (although it still needs to be lowered 4-5 inches and some BBS rims ;) )

no, but the big bumpers are really complimented by the flares, so i would recomond if you wanted to go big bumpered but want to look like there are no flares, go with the smooth body coloured flares (concept 1 maybe?)
