For a Z06 (02) that has basic mods (b&b bullets, blackwing), are there any local places that will tune it for a reasonable price?

I called Davenport and they wanted about $1,000-$1,100 to do it :nut:

I called Western Corvettes, but they still watned me to buy a $600 tuning device and pay another $150 or so :(

I read about people getting a basic tune like the above for $200USD, so there's got to be some shop around here that can (I think any place that can do an LS1 camaro/firebird/vette should be able to do an LS6 easily enough)?

what ems are you going to use for the tune? You make it sound like you can just connect the laptop to your ecu and go nuts on it.... is that the case?

That's what I was thinking... You spent how much on a Corvette... and then you want to cheap out?

That's right; because if most places are doing near-stock LS6 tunes for $200, and all I can find is something for $1,100 up here, I should gladly pay that

I've read about the HPTuner and their credit system - it would seem best to find some place that uses that, pay for some credits, then pay them to tune it. Unfortunately, I do not know of such a place in Calgary ;)

Whichever EMS is the cheapest? For a near-stock tune they should all be fine.

ok.... so you dont have an EMS, and expect them to tune your car how? a $600 EMS + $200 for tuning seem fair otherwise...

Get somebody to write a tune file for you, burn to your computer. Not to hard.

Are you looking to get your car tuned so you can tell people you got it "chipped" or you "have a custom tune" or are you looking for a shop that knows what they're doing and will make the most power out of any shop in western Canada and has the most experience with them?

If you're looking for power, get out your wallet and go to Davenport. Otherwise go to Mopac and pick up a $300 hypertech that will give you no power but it's "cheaper".
