What a Piece of Shit! Haha j/k =)

I've always said I liked the last gen probes. I considered buying a used one a few years back, but they lacked aftermarket support in terms of power mods.

You seriously need wheels and a quieter exhaust that matches the power output of the car. It sounds like your hitting the redline when you pull out of the staging lanes at the track, or are you hitting it? You run 16 second ET's, right?

GT2NV
07-29-2002, 07:51 PM
thats just how probes sound, i got my exaust done this week, i left in the cat, and it always sounds like im racing when i hit 3500 - 4 grand in first:nut: but it doesnt help that kronyk has a straight pipe and no silencer ......or cat i think hehe:burnout:

civic_rida
07-29-2002, 08:01 PM
Straight pipe means no cat.

Silencer is put into ur muffler tip to quite it down.

Kronyk
07-29-2002, 08:06 PM
The kit cost me about 2700 altogether, and no, I'm not even close to red lining it in the stages. I'm at about 3000rpm.

Not a huge fan of probes, but if I keep on seeing ones such as yours my opinion might change!! Looks tight man!!

I had a 82hp Mazda 323 hatchback. I took out the muffler and welded in it's place a $20 Canadian Tire resonator. It was the loudest car I've ever owned, by far! The thing can be heard 15 blocks away at full throttle.

I used to cruise Chinatown in that car, 1st gear using the HOLD function.

Thats why I decided to do one up. Just to be somewhat original.

The originality part I agree with. The $2700 price tag I don't. I would of bought wheels and a lowering spring kit, but that's just me. Shit, I made a 4 cylinder 4 door Dodge Lancer do low 14's...sometimes my head does this ->:nut: But to make a car fast first, then make it look good, is the way I do it :dunno: Some of the coolest cars out there are the ones that normally make you do this  but have you saying :hitit: with the pedal to the floor.

some people prefer a nice looking car over a all out race car. to each their own.

i prefer to do a little bit of both. but damn thats a nice probe  ... <<< i didn't think i would ever make a comment like that to a probe.

Im one of those people. A fast car would be nice to have, but modding my engine is useless. Not much I can to to this car to make it a whole lot faster. So instead I just want it to look good. All thats left for me to do to it now is lower it and then put an exhaust on it. The little pipe just doesnt do it for me. I dont want some crazy ass coffee can either. Just something stainless steel that isnt too loud.

I plan to do an engine swap next year, so I'm not planning to do anything to this engine.

A mazda KLZE engine. Same engine type of engine as the one I have now (KL03) but its the J-Spec. Runs 200 hp, and revs to 7500rpm.
