Please excuse me but for some reason i really suck at stereo shit.
Anyways, i want surround sound with my 360, so i plugged my 360 into my receiver in Video 2 IN by means of the regular RCA wires, including the yellow video wire, then i put 3 RCA's in the video 2 OUT and connected those to my TV's video 2 IN
i get sound out of my stereo but no video...can anyone tell me what im doing wrong??

Did you turn your stereo to AUX mode?

Your receiver should be set to whatever input your running the xbox into, so in your case video 2. If you've already tried input/output settings on both your tv and you receiver with no luck just bypass the receiver with the video signal all together. Run r/w/y from your xbox: have red and white go into the receiver as you have now and then run yellow (composite video) right into the back of your tv.

Plug your vid cables straight into your TV, not throught your reciever

Check your receiver on how it pass video over.

Also, using the red/white/yellow cable will not give you surround sound. At best, it's only Pro Logic if your receiver support it.

To get real surround sound, you'll need the optical cable which connect off the HD cable for 360.

I'll attest.. HD with the optical cable is worth it.
