Ok.. I have a turbo kit with an external wastegate... Im not sure if I have my ebc hooked up properly.

On the solenoid box there are IN and OUT nipples.

Out line goes to the nipple at the top of the wastegate

In line goes to the nipple at the turbo

The nipple at the side of the waste gate remains open

Is this right?

Orientation can depend on internal or external wastegate but the 3rd port (Usually the normally open port) must be vented to atmosphere (remove the cap!). It is used to vent (redirect) turbo pressure from the actuator to atmosphere. This in-turn will open the wastegate to expell exhaust when boost is not required.

I remember hooking up a friends EBC in his talon. He was running an ext. wastegate. I can't remember the exact setup but if you do some searching on the EBC's, they usually have install diagrams for ext. w/g setups.

Some EBC's require a dip switch in the back to be changed too. Like the Profec A.... the old school one.... red led screen (pimp style).
