My 300E only has 1 key and its starting to crack, where do you guys get your spare keys from? I called a couple locksmiths and none of them can cut a MB key, called the dealer and they want $80 + 2 weeks to get it from Germany. Any other places I can get it cheaper and faster?

If I am not mistaken those are internally cut keys and use a special VERY expensive machine to cut them. The dealer is likely the only place to get them. Most european cars are like that now. Count yourself lucky it is not more like $300 like a lot of the newer cars. $80 is cheap nowadays.

Dealership is pretty much your only option.

dealer son, haven't you looked at your key before? does it look like any regular car key? well then you can't go to any locksmith to get it cut.

They require laser cutting from the dealer or back in Germany. Your car is older and doesn't have the computer chip and doesn't require dealer re program so its not too bad. Bring your vin number and some proof that its your car to the dealer and DONE
