Hey,

Having a party this weekend. We need some advice on good Party Platter's, or party food options/ recommendations.

We usually just pick up the deli meat/cheese platter from Sobey's, but last time it made me sick :barf: the meat was turning green (I ate it anyways).

Let me know of stuff that you've either had hosting a party, or went to a party and stood by the snack table all night because the food was that damn good.

Cheers!

we get those at work whenever we entertain clients and they are soooo good.

I vote for some sandwhiches, fruits/veggies, meat/cheese, and/or a dip of some sort (spinach?)

Ya, we use Spolumbo's for our work too, getting a little sick of them.

Does anybody know if Keith's Deli will do a party platter? Don't wanna resort to ordering the Subway 6ft. Party Sub

Spolumbo is overrated. If you want italian stuff, why not hit up Great West italian store near Deerfoot mall.

Fresh and cheap. Best italian store but far and way cheaper than places like Lina's italian market.

sushi platters are good. T&T ones are cheap and easy but not the best. If you have a fav restaurant just go there and ask them to make a big platter.

Some of our favorites to do are fried zuccini slices.

Buy a couple zuccini's slice them into round disks and batter them in an egg wash then coat them with bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and some cayenne pepper for some heat.

Another great app is coconut shrimp, easy to make.

Another is homemade cheese sticks. Buy your favorite block of cheese and cut them into strips. Make an egg wash and dip the cheese strips into the wash and then cover them in bread crumbs and season to flavor.

I don't know how fancy/expensive you are wanting to go, but....

M&M Meat Shop has lots of frozen appetiziers (we did bite-sized pizza's, spring rolls, little sandwiches etc. that were gone in a big hurry!)

Also, was just at Costco this weekend and saw a ton of frozen appy's as well, such as those mini sliced wrap sandwiches, mini potato skins etc.

OMG have you ever had a subway sub from the previous day? It's horrible as it is, let alone a week! Although, desperate times call for desperate measures
