My virus software just popped up and said it has found a trojan, and it can't delete or quarantine it. It gives me the file name which is codecportal4279[1].exe and the path to the file, but I cannot see it. Also, the search will not bring up this file, even when the hidden files/folders are being searched.

It says the trojan is DNSchanger.ka, and I've been having some issues with internet connection lately, so it must be in action.

How can I get rid of this, and will it affect any of our other computers? We have about 3 all going through the router.

Thanks in advance.

Did you try to scan and quarantine/delete in safe mode?

Here's some info, depending on how savvy you are with the registry and TCP/IP settings.

Try this, worth a shot anyways:

Run panda software's free scan - it detects and cleans trojans and viruses, and detects spyware dialers and pup's
