Description :

I have received quite a number of PMs about parting before, but I prefer not to part it until a buyer is found for the car.

Purchased new from T&T Honda in 1998. Moved to Ottawa in 2000. Moved back to Calgary in 2006.

Driven throughout the year until 2004 Fall. Stored in winter starting 2004.

Starting 2002 winter, the car is only driven on weekends, and washed every Sunday in underground parking to be stored there for the rest of the week.

Starting 2004 Fall, the car was winter stored. For the rest of the year, it will not be taken out of the garage if it's raining or if the roads are still wet.

Used only Mobil 1 synthetic oil starting around 15000 km.

OEM Honda options:
- Spoiler
- OEM front lip, side skirt, and rear valence
- OEM carbon fiber interior trim pieces (full kit - radio surround trim, center console, window switch panels)
- OEM trunk matt
- OEM floor matts

JDM Honda options:
- JDM Type-S intake
- JDM Type-S carbon fiber guage overlay
- JDM Foglights (with a spare pair of H3C replacement bulbs from Honda)

- OZ Superleggera titanium grey 17x7 wheels with Falken GRB FK-451 tires

- Alpine Alarm
- Tint

I have all service records and all receipts for the parts purchased new. I also have all the original parts such as the suspension, exhaust, interior trim pieces, rubber covers for where the foglight goes, even the Honda NGK spark plugs I've swapped out.

Out-of-province inspection was completed November 2006 which required brakes to be serviced (new pads all around and new rear rotors).

Timing belt, balancer shaft belt, water pump, coolant change done with all OEM parts - May 2008.

Extras :
- Honda Prelude shop manual
(the following items are brand new and never installed)

Put battery back in last night and it started right up.

Updated first post with new asking price. Purchased new all season tires (Kumho AST) on the OEM wheels during winter storage.

Insurance reactivated for April 30th.

Timing belt, water pump, oil and coolant change will be performed soon.

I still have the OEM S2000 filters. And I guess I will be using one of them for the oil change.

Still for sale. I hope the only reason why I still own this car is because of its transmission and not my asking price. Offers welcomed, but not looking for trades at the moment.

I might be shooting myself on the foot with what I'm going to say...

... for the transmission, I do believe that there are concerns about the automatic / "sport-shift" transmission failing. It also seems that not many shops have been able to rebuild the transmission without having it failing again later. People are either still on their first original transmission or on their 2nd or 3rd rebuilt transmission. There are alternatives to strengthen the transmission and if I remember correctly, Level10 is the company. But for the price, people would rather do a auto to manual swap after the auto failed.

I believe this has to do with how the driver drives the car. Drive it like a manual transmission and it will fail quickly. Drive it like an auto, it will do just fine. Unlike BMW's SMG or VW/Audi's DSG, this really is an automatic transmission with a computer program to delay down shifting if it will end up in the redline.

I have babied this vehicle since new. Never taken to the track or abused on the road. Park to reverse, neutral to drive, transmission shifts just like the first day I got the car.

Any chance of parting out the rims? If so, how much? What's the tire size and tread life left? TIA!
