Just wondering, I'm staying at a crappy motel with a wireless router (D-link), and it seems like whenever I see some other mofo laptop (secure link) pop up, my internet browser gives the "page cannot be found" page.

So I'm sitting there all night hitting F5 waiting for the mofo to get off the network or what not.

Anyone know what's going on? Or how I can counter this to porn block him/her back?

Thanks

I had this problem when I was setting up a D-Link router last week. I ended up having to change the default gateway number after several hours of figuring out. Not sure how that helped but do I ever hate D-Link.

What ip address are you being assigned? Can you ping the gateway? Do you get a signal?

Need some more info please.

Thanks.

I have no idea how to do any of that, lol (i.e. what folders do I look for this? Or do I have to gain access to the motel's router)

Right click on the icon in the taskbar, and click status. Click over to the support tab.

That'll show your ip, subnet mask, gateway.

To ping your gateway go start -> run -> "cmd" (no quotations) and type: "ping 192.168.0.1" where i'm assuming 192.168.0.1 is your gatway (may be diff, again no quotations)

Sounds like your just connecting to ad hoc networks to me instead of staying connected to the router, but it may be a d-link issue as stated earlier.
