Hey guys,
I'm looking at upgrading from the 8100 to the 8800 because my damn fingers are too big for this little tiny keyboard, anyone have any opinions on the 8800? Anyone using the GPS? Is it any good? Any info is helpful, thanks

I love my 8800, works perfectly and I found even though they slimed the design down allot they still managed to keep the legendary blackberry durability there.

I don't use the 8800 from Rogers but I am using the 8830 World Edition from Telus.

Sound: Great on both ends and I usually only have the volume at 50%. I can still hear the other person clearly during lunch hour at TD Square.

Camera: No, it's a business phone

Media Support: From what I've tossed onto it, MP3's (192kbps) and MP4 (iPod Video Format) and JPG (320 x 240 pixels)

Screen: 320 x 240 pixels

The full keyboard is nice and easy to press even with big fingers. All the keys have this little groove on them that makes it easy to press.

GPS: Works with BlackBerry Maps and Google Maps, but the Telus EVDO network is still kinda slow. But it works.

I mainly use it to get my work emails and GMail. Sometimes I listen to music on there or watch a TV show I missed while on the train.

It's a great phone in my opinion. It's no iPhone in terms of multimedia capabilities though.

9.5/10

Hope that helps!

I love my 8800 , its perfect for texting ! The only thing that pisses me off is that the scroll ball kinda gets stuck once in a blue moon if its been in my pocket to long (txts ppl blank messages)

Its uber pimp to

I would rather go with the 8310 Curve myself. Best of all worlds. Better camera than the pearl, full qwerty keyboard, GPS, smaller and much nicer/sleeker than the 8800...plus a lot cheaper...

Really I think RIM has screwed themselves from selling 8800s for the most part...unless there is a big price drop....

Thank guys, I went with the 8800 and it's great so far! Don't miss the camera because as one guy said, it's a business phone.
