just got this e-mail at work, anyone have a closer view to see if this is true or not? nothing on citybeat yet.



Gunman at 922-5th Ave - nobody is allowed to go within one block radius of the areas cordoned off

The shut down areas is 6th Av to 4th Av and 9st to 7 st, so please stay one block away from those streets!

I got an email about this too but no proof yet. Nothing online on the radio and Newspaper web sites either.

We got emails to stay inside or use the +15. We are all the way over in Gulf Canada square... at least I know the company is concerned for our safety!

That's the next block from me, the roads are now open. There was a guy with a ski mask on a balcony facing 5th ave for a bit. Apparently someone had barricaded themselves in the room with a gun threatining to kill himself and everyone on the floor. He came out on the balcony and forced the streets to close down.

Bizzare thing is they still let pededstrians walk down the avenue and streets around the building.

I saw some shit going down from the c-train heading downtown from the NW. Just people everywhere but didn't see a gunman.

Absolutely nothing on the news. Maybe the guy offed himself and their still picking him up.
