the each difference is huggee... if mayweather uses properly ... its going to be a one sided fight ...
and they will be fighting in the welterweight division (140-147 pounds)

but may try to go up as much as they an after the official weigh in... should be an interesting fight ... but i think mayweather is going to take it with a KO

I like Hatton to win, but I think Mayweather is too fast for him... maybe Mayweather joining Dancing with the Stars will have some effect, diminished his boxing skills

Took awhile to start liking the guy and now I love what he brings to his matches. Who has enough balls to wear a Mexican hat and the Mexican colors against Oscar De La Hoya . Especially when you're not even Mexican at all.

HE took the piss of Hatton as well. When they were down in Manchester, home of Hatton who supports Manchester City football club. What does Mayweather do? He wears Man Utd shirt and hat

Me too but Floyd is one fast guy. Hatton has to put him in his place early on or its a losing battle IMO.

Well Hatton just wasn't ready for this weight. Mayweather was the wrong guy to start against. That being said, he is a tough son of a bitch.

Even if the ref hadn't been a biased idiot, Mayweather would have won, but not in the same way. Give Hatton more time to train, hold the fight in Manchester with a British ref and all British judges, he'd probably win.

Now the excuses come out. Face it he lost, nothing else matters. Mayweather is the best and will always be the best until the day he retires.

Didn't Mayweather want to retire after this fight lol? I don't exactly remember, but I know he wanted to retire really soon.

I knew he would lose, aside from everything being set up agianst him, Hatton is a light welterweight who went up to face the best welterweight around. That doesn't change the fact that the ref was an idiot who let Mayweather get away with everything and prevented Hatton from fighting the way he wanted.

The judging thing is really a non-issue, but having an all American (check that, all Nevada) judging panel and an American ref in Las Vegas for a world title was just stupid. Hatton was already at a disadvantage going after a guy in a different class, he didn't need to have everything else against him as well.

I don't think the reffing or judging was that biased, at least in my opinion. There was a lot of head locking and clutching, I agree. That should obviously be called. But it's not like that doesn't get called in every other match, so I don't see why it's that big of a deal. Hatton didn't help matters much by not moving his other arm. Mayweather actually tried to punch his way out of Hatton's clutching, but Hatton wouldn't move his arm resulting in what looks like arm grabbing on Mayweather's part. the ref doesn't have a choice to not let that go because then it just becomes 1-armed fighting. Though to his credit, Hatton started to clutch less with his off-arm and tried punching his way out near the later rounds.

Quite frankly, Mayweather was the better fighter in this. He had an answer for Hatton's every move. Hatton would try to close in with a jab or cross, Mayweather would see it coming and duck away (just like his first KO when he circled away from the lunging cross and countered with a BEAUTIFUL left hook). In the instances where Hatton managed to close the distance, Mayweather used his forearms to create the distance he needed to box him inside.

I don't think the reffing was that bad. He made the calls that needed to be made, and quite frankly, he realized that most of his attempts to control the fight were pretty futile. So he backed off after about the 4th round.

Hatton seemed out classed from round 2. Though I found many of the rounds sloppy.
