I just bought an EJ25 engine from japan w/ 40k miles. Mine was shot. The importer told me I needed to swap the air intake. I will also have to drill and tap a hole for the EGR sensor. Then swap over all original accessories. I have a lot of questions.

Do I really have to do this?
Won't I get better hp from the engine with their setup?
Has anyone on here done this before?

Ummmmmm.. Did they even have EJ25s in Japan? AFAIK, they all use either the 1.5 or 2.0 or 3.0 and 2.0T.. Only North America has 2.5.

Sorry not much help here.
