I think it'll be a few years before video hits. He want to make sure statute of limitations is up before showing everyone.
So is there a point besides trying to get to LA faster? That seems like a waste of time...

just to beat the record i take it.
maybe it was his personal best that hes tryin to beat.

that m5 is so sweet. i wonder how much trouble he would get in if he was caught, pretty sure thats illegal for impersonating a police officer and having a car that has police lights. lol

The new record is 31 hours 4 minutes... as the old one was 32 hours 4 minutes then 31 hours 59 minutes according to:
http://jalopnik.com/cars/speed-record/alex-roys-transcontinental-run-witness-to-the-departure-310815.php
If accepted by the community of rally cohorts who scrutinize such matters, that time will best all other such records of lore, the most recent clocked this past May, when rivals Richard Rawlings and Dennis Collins claimed a time of 31 hours, 59 minutes from New York City to Redondo Beach, California in a black Ferrari 550. It also dramatically undercuts the celebrated record of 32 hours, 7 minutes set by David Diem and Doug Turner, winners of the 1983 US Express.
I could be wrong, the site could be wrong... etc... Just from what I understand

Maybe on a plane. According to Google NY is 4456km away from LA. Even going at 100km/h , it will take you 44.5 hrs...non stop.
