Hey guys,
if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is. This one almost got me. The auction has some sort of script that automatically reloads itself to a non-ebay page where it allows you to buy a rediculously low priced car.
it then directs you to some other page where it asks for your id and login info.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=017&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=270177149935&rd=1
I have never seen this automatic phishing method before so watch out!
i just wanted to get the word out, happy e-baying.

yeah i am going to report it
they already got one guy, and last time I looked there was 750 views to that auction
funny thing is that when you think you are "getting" a deal, you don't really look too much at other stuff
I tried finding reasons why i didn't think the page was legit (without looking at the URL), and funny enough what tipped me off was that someone had bid and yet there was a "buy now". Also the color of the buy now and lack of bidder info was a bit off
URL gives it away LOL

yeah i doubt it is her, but the auction is pretty sketch though
i guess it follows the philosophy of check once, check twice, and then recheck when you are buying something off the internet.

That's a new one. Redirecting to a fake site. They're getting more clever.
