WTB: cheap Winter Car

Hope I posted this in the right area.

I recently sold my car and am looking to buy something cheap to get me thru till early next year. I would prefer a domestic mid 90's car such as a sunfire, cavalier, neon... may consider others, but needs to run strong, front wheel drive, and under $4000. Not too picky otherwise.

Thanks for the posts. Most of the cars are a little older than what I was looking for, thats why im looking at sunfire/cavalier. I can get a mid 90's car in my price range. Would also consider something damaged thats still driveable and reliable.

have the parts to get it into a 13 second car. It is a good sleeper. (of course those cost more).

1997 Mercury Sable, auto, 177,000kms. Runs great, no problems, perfect for winter, very comfy to drive. Used to be my mom's old car, she bought a brand new car so this thing is just sitting there now for about a month. Asking 2,500 obo. Let me know, need this gone out of my yard.

ive got a cheap accord that i dont need, it was given to me as a beater but i already got one so $100 for it
its a 84, 5 speed, 344xxx kms and its not the prettiest car but not that bad also

I've got a 1995 Dodge Neon 5sp. 4 door with 204,000km. Its in very nice shape with no rust. Interior is like almost new with a nice Pioneer head unit. I'm asking $2000
