Don't we see this warning every single year? Weren't we supposed to hit something like $2/L? I'm gonna just doubt it until it actually happens.

why didnt you predict this with your esp?!
haha jk...

but could this have something to do with the canadian and US dollars?! maybe the oil companies are pissed about how much they are losing with it or something or other?

I wouldn't mind $1.50 gas... as long as you don't drive a gas guzzler you should be fine. Plus maybe people will drive less and start using public transportation more. It would definately help wiht some of the traffic issues that Calgary has.

Yea, but it wouldn't help with the over crowded public transportation. I would rather get fired than take the damn bus.... Whelp, I guess its time to make a living off of ebay, and order all my groceries off of the net.

It's the media. Anything to make you pay attention to them.

It would have more reprecussions than just having regular people buying more efficient cars. Pretty much every consumer good would go up in price as truckers demand more to deliver the goods, the manufacturers need to pay more to move the raw materials around, etc, etc, etc.

I think David Dodge want to stop loonies from going up which mean the only way to do it is lower interest rate. But that's also hard to do with inflation being so high.

The rise of loonies is keeping our gas price in check. So in the end, I think the market should be able to self regulates. We shouldn't have much to worry about because high energy prices are usually good for this province.

Everyone whines and complains but they'll still pay it. I doubt many people would think twice about driving even if gas hit $2-$3/litre.

haha what a load of bullshit. Gas here in the states is hovering at around $2.50/gallon. A gallon is just under 4L, so you guys can do the math.

68 cent/L

But we pay more tax on our fuel. I think US pays on average 10% less taxes on gas.

We have it too, can't remember what it is though. Also we're referring to "regular" or 87 octane. We have 87/89/91/92/94 depending on the gas station, where 87/89/91 are the most common. IIRC the ratings are a little diff from Asia's

For those saying use public transportation instead of driving, for some of us that is not an option, how the hell an I going to find a bus at 3:30 in the morning to the Airport and no I'm not complaining about the gas priced predictions, just pisses me off when people said shit like that lol

I'm just curious that why it would raise to that high of a price. Last time I checked our dollar was at $1.02 US, meaning things we buy from them are cheaper, meaning the oil/gas we buy from them is cheaper.

OH SHIT I forgot spikers has ESP or whatever... it's got to be right!

that shit is gonna haunt me for awhile....

according to the guys on the radio, thier expert states that should oil continue it current climb in price, some speculations put it at or near $100/bbl, and if the loonie takes a bit of a tumble, voila, $1.50/L gas.
