Electronic gauges have an sender who converts the measured value (pressure in your case) into an electrical signal and this signal is converted by the gauge in your dash to an number(digital) or an specific position of the arrow on the gauge.
So; here you need an pressure sender, a cable and the gauge.
Often the pressure sender has to be bought sepperatly.

An, so called, analog or mechanical gauge, has an "hardline" (vacuum line in your case) to the gauge and in the gauge this vacuum (or pressure) signal is converted to an specific position of the arrow on the gauge.
Here you only need an vacuum line and the gauge.

Is this sufficient?

Greetings!!:D

yes thanks a lot witte reus, I think I will go for machanical guage for simplicity sake. unless electrical guage is significantly better.

A mechanical boost gauge will work fine.
