Where to buy wrecked cars?

I'm looking for a certain vehicle for parts. Where do all the wrecked late model cars before, they hit the autowreckers?

I know in Sask, you can go to the SGI salvage yard and get entire vehicles. But I'm not sure how it works here... since there are so many insurance companies...:confused:
