There is no such thing. e46 m3's only come in 2 door Coupes, and the e36 doesn't come in laguna seca blue.

On another note, congrats on your car bud, post some pics!

good choice
well if you are going to mod it, make sure to get a supercharger, it makes the car quite fun.

rage2

Supercharger kits have been pretty troublesome. They use the stock ECU but there's a whole whack of issues, especially in the first 3000km while the ECU learns it has a supercharger. Turbo kits FTW!

oh i drove a dinan and it was just great so turbo ftl the owner has had no issues in many miles on it except for some unrelated ones.

Dinan is the exception, because they work directly with BMW so BMW basically issues the code to them so it's pretty much factory drivability. But for the price of the Dinan SC kit, you can get a turbo kit that also has zero issues and makes way more power.

that is very true, it is quite pricey aswell, especially with the goodies. i liked the level of power though just pushing it and just feeling the constant power. you have to go all out with m3s though because they are so well balanced stock.

wow, that is pretty impressive, i forgot about those kits. quite the power increase there, the dinan is only about 360rwhp.

funkedelic
10-28-2007, 10:17 PM
yeah i hear great things about those kits, i wish i could afford one :(

I dont know if i could handle that kind of power, that dinan was damn quick and the speed kept creeping higher and higher without me even noticing, i cant imagine that much more power from those turbos on tap. you do need some good rubber and breaks to go with that though.

The stage 2 kit is out now, I'm looking into it myself. 550whp on 91 octane hehehe.

I've been talking to HPF guys for the last while trying to work out logistics. Going to be a bit custom for my setup. There's 2 maps that can be setup, and since I won't be using race gas I'm looking at 91 octane on low boost, and 94 octane for high boost. Still debating over stage 1 or stage 2, not sure if I really need the meth injection.

Since AEM is controlling the boost, I may be requesting lower boost for lower speed to aid traction.

I'm a HP junkie, and have been driving big hp cars since forever, so 360whp just does not do it for me hahaha.

10-28-2007, 10:34 PM
wow that thing is fast from their videos, and quite a bit less than the dinan for much more power. allowing more money for some handling upgrades to keep that power in check. you should go for it rage, especially with the way the dollar is.
