NOTE TO ALL BUSINESSES: This car will turn heads and make people look more than most any other public advertising medium, and that's without any advertising on it. The cost of 1 billboard is about $60,000 per year, but it's stationary advertising and you're lucky of someone looks up at it during rush hour traffic. Whereas an S-Cargo with advertising can be extremely effective and get more eyes viewing it than a billboard... Drive the S-Cargo to/from work, park it in front of your workplace (my first S-Cargo was involved in an accident and was parked in front of the mechanics shop for several weeks... they asked me to remove it because they had so many walk-ins inquiring about the S-Cargo), ask another business if you can park it in their lot near a high-traffic street (and pay them a small rental fee of course). All at a fraction of the cost of a billboard!

Vehicle history...

Maintenance/safety items upon arrival (prep for out-of-province inspection):
- Oil and filter change
- Flush coolant
- Add block heater
- Replace headlights with LHD DOT Hella halogen headlights
- Replace muffler/exhaust and add after market tail pipe
- Replace front lower ball joints
- Repack rear wheel bearings
- Replace wiper blades
Cost: $1,400

Replace wheels/tires:
- Konig 15" alloy wheels (OEM were 13" colour-keyed steel rims)
- Toyo Proxes 4 all-season tires (195/50R15)
Cost: $1,700

Upgraded stereo:
- Alpine CDA-9831 stereo CD (comes with remote and manual)
- Alpine iPod adapter
- 6.5" small depth front speakers (I think they're Clarion)
Cost: $760

Repairs (Nov 2005):
- Repair cooling system leak
- Replace water pump
- Replace timing belt (at 49,201 kms)
Cost: $800

Repairs (Aug 2006)
- Rebuilt transmission
Cost: $1,270

Repairs (Jan 2007)
- Replace steering rack
Cost: $2,000

Minor Repairs (Jul 2007)
- Re-upholstered interior front/rear side panels
- High end blue vinyl, professionally re-upholstered
Cost: $850

As you can see, there are about $3,300 in upgraded items (wheels/tires, stereo, re-upholstered interior side panels), plus $1,400 for maintenance/safety items to pass the out-of-province inspection, plus over $4,000 in major repair items (not including maintenance and minor repairs during regular service).

So, in total, over $8,700 of work and upgrades have been put into this S-Cargo to date (on top of the imported cost of the vehicle) to keep it in top notch running condition. Good quality low kms S-Cargo's like this one are hard to come by on the used market in Japan these days. They're getting rarer by the minute!

The Alpine CD/MP3 player is ready for rear speakers and has output for a sub. I've added the iPod adapter and an Alpine CD changer can be added. And there's also enough headroom to add spot lights and a mirror ball!

Come see it, and make me an offer.

An S-Cargo like this is the Ideal Promo Car for a small business. It's a moving billboard that attracts its own attention.

You will definitely get the Most Looks Per Litre with this car!

More value for your money than a standard stationary billboard (which typically costs about $60,000 per year in Calgary).

You must see it in person to understand the full impact -- pictures don't seem to have the same effect as seeing it in person.

Offer me around the $11k price mark and I will certainly consider it.

Free bump for an awesome vehicle, I stopped beside one of these at a light on Blackfoot and it definitely grabs attention.. I dont think there was a single person not looking at it at that light.

Believe it or not, this S-Cargo is quite the chick-magnet. More so than other typical JDM sports cars.

This little car has introduced me to many lovely young ladies out there... Even the Red Bull girls, with their modified Mini Cooper, stopped by to check out the S-Cargo one hot afternoon at the Calgary Z Club Show'n'Shine a few years ago. If it wasn't for my S-Cargo, they would have driven right by and wouldn't have stopped to chat and hand out free cold samples.

Now if I wasn't married to a fine beautiful (understanding) wife, I would consider keeping this magic for myself ;)
