I foresee 10 years into the future where Mazda, Subaru, Toyota and all small 5 door hatches will be the same, rebadged car.

Well, this helps in deciding between the two relatives: Vibe or Matrix. It used to be that the Matrix looked better than the Vibe. Now, the 2009 Vibe looks way better than the 2009 Matrix.

Toyota say they don't want to be #1.

So this new Corolla/Matrix model will definitely accomplish that goal.

I guess the blandness of the 2009 Matrix/Corolla don't come as any surprise given we're talking about Toyota. :dunno:

Still pretty unique but better IMO.
