Year : 1990
Make and Model : Jetta 16V
Exterior Color : Mercedes Bahama Blue
Interior Color : Black/Gray
Auto or Manual? : 5-speed manual
Odometer Reading : 240,000 kms
Location of Vehicle : Calgary, AB

I swapped in a 2.0L 16V engine, installed by Acclaimed Auto. The engine has roughly 20K kms since install. I left it mostly stock with some head work done by Bilt-rite.

Aftermarket:

Single round cross hair headlights w/ badgeless grill
Big Bumpers
Powertech adjustable height and damper coilovers
full 2.5" custom catless exhaust w/ C-1 dual square muffler/tip
clear front signals and tail lights
full tint
shaved handles/side markers/banana lights/door moulding
Recaro front bucket seats (drivers seat needs repair)
momo shift nob and alcantara boot
zimmerman front rotors
short shifter w/ wieght
front stress bar
Viper alarm w/ front door actuators

New:

Alternator - 2 weeks
Coilovers - 4 months
Radiator - 4 months
clutch - 7 months

Stereo:

Alpine 60x4 head unit
Rockford 5.5" rear mids
MB Quartz 3.5" w/ tweet fronts
Alpine V12 4-channel Amp
0.5 farad Cap

Issues:

The transmission needs rebuilding/replacing, lost a tooth on the second gear.

Minor oil leak from pan.

Ignition electrical issues - Will not start with the key, I think one of the ignition wires melted. The car can be started by jumpering the starter, which leads me to believe it is only a conductor issue.

The engine pulls hard and strong, this car will need minimal work to be a great daily driver again. I have 5 years of receipts for this car.

I have all of the summer rims, however they will require new rubber.

Asking $4500 obo

HAHAHAH those are NOT real recaro's. Thats the worst knock off ever...Buyer beware! The seats posted before are Recaro Trophys, It wont have those either. It will have these seats if it is a true 16V.

Thanks for showing us the different types of recaros that may come in the MKII generation. They may or may not be stock 16V recaros, however do you agree that the 8V seats are of lesser comfort?

Bump $4k..you cant even get the body done for that much.
