Taking friends car over border, what do i need?

Hey guys, im heading down to Vancouver, and ill be taking my friends car down to seattle for a day or two by myself. Is there anything i need from him so i dont run into any trouble?

As long as you have picture ID, a birth certificate and an address where you'll be staying while there you should be fine..

if they do question about your car...and you wanna be super ready for everything...ahve him type up or write a letter stating he giving you permission to drive his car ....date it and signed it....

also include phone number of hte place in vancouver just in case those butthead are having a bad day and want to give a call just in case

Yeah thats tricky, I have had them ask "is this your car..." etc.

They ask me EVERY time who owns my car, sometimes more than once. I get the idea that if you aren't the registered owner, there will be some hassle there, but I've never tried.
