I know this issue has been discussed... just wanted to throw out a real world example. My Dad just bought an 08 F-150 and is basically paying the US advertised price in Cdn dollars! I know there is a difference with the exchange rate.. but I think this is a step in the right direction!! oh, this was at Maclin Ford..
(advertised price in the Ford Canada website was 52....US one is 42, he is paying 42 Canadian)

Anyways... things are starting to look up.

Good to hear. I would like to see the numbers on some other people who have bought / will be buying a NEW car in the next few weeks. Post up the details if you have them.

^^^ Probably won't hurt to try. Chances are you'll probably end up getting it for $30,000-$32,000 realistically but then you never really know. Good luck.

Well Ford recently dropped the prices.. and have other incentives. I *think* there was an additional 3k that came off once you started asking about US prices and such... it was something to do with lease/purchase agreements

I think NickGt said he managed to get $7000 off of his, and that was long before the dollar parity. No harm in trying, and if they dont, oh well.

I think dealers here in Calgary are hurting pretty bad. With the US thing and the Royalty business, I've heard that car salesmen are a little scared right now. I know if I were in the business I would be looking for something else right now!

dealerships in calgary are assholes. they expect everyone to buy from them, bad service bad prices buyers look elsewhere.
