good for a getaway car but i think the whole car has to be metal so i done see it catching on until they fix that

I don't think the car would have to be entirely metal. It should work similarily to your LCD, by pressing a button, you would send an electric impulse through the molecules in the paint, this would in turn cause them to "shift", bending and refracting the light at a different angle, that would give it the apperance of a different colour. But it would be more stable than those colour shifting paints that you see on some cars, that change depending on the lighting.
