hi guys I'm having a hard time finding use winter tires for tire size 225/55/16 would it be ok to use 205/55/16. thanks

They will fit but being 2 sizes smaller your speedometer will be out a few km's/h

Use 205/60/16 instead to maintain a diameter closer to the 225s. Remember, the sidewall size is a percentage of the width, so 55% of a 225 is taller than 55% of a 205.
Edit: that's basically what he's saying above too.
and the 205s will work better in teh snow for you :)

I am really lost on this subject.....
I just purchased a new car and wanted to know what kind of All season performance tires will fit into a 2007 Pontiac G5. Currently the stock tires measure P195/60R15. What am I looking for? Which brands do you all recommend? Do I have to get tires that specifically match this size or can i upgrade to say 16's?? Any and all help is appreciated....

You can switch to 16" tires if you also switch to 16" wheels.
