Alpine Speakers? Any good?

Im currently in the market for new speakers for my car. I work with a car installer and he recommended Alpine speakers, but other people i ask recommend MTX and Infinity. Im confused lol
Whats the better brand of speakers?

If it matters i listen to rock and techno/trance, i heard the type of music determines the kind of speakers

I personally find Alpine's Type S and R line pretty over rated...they are priced for the name and not the quality. For the same price, you can get some better speakers from CDT.

Alpine's Type X on the other hand, especially their SPX-177, are Vifa components with amazing crossovers for relatively cheap.
