They arrived today, so I put them in after class.

Stock (you all know the stock rings are far more 'dim' in person):

I like. The install was cake... literally, it's replacing a bulb. A monkey could do it.

The fully CNC milled aluminum socket design on those bulbs look amazing, although I question the electronics inside it. My left v2.0 bulb in my E60 has dimmed down, and is confusing the OBC; it keeps thinking the bulb is burned out.

I haven't heard anything bad about the V3.0 yet. I guess time will tell.

Beauty. I envy you E90/E39/E60 guys that can just change the OEM bulb to a hugely bright bunch of LED's and have kick ass DDE's without the hassle.

Looks good!

Here's one of mine. On my E60, can't get a picture of just Angel Eyes & fogs, because the DRL is tied to the angel eyes. Plus the damn OBC (onboard computer) is too smart for its own good, judging by the clock & light sensor, it can override whatever manual mode you are in to light the road. To get that shot, I was in accessory mode with parking lamps turned on. But in that mode, fogs can't be turned on.

Apparently you can get your local BMW dealer to disable the DRLs via the OBC so you can have just the angel eyes on.

Of course I can, but do I want to pay them ~$150 to tick a box in PROGMAN? No. Is it worth the hassle to try and argue with the dealership to disable something which both you and I and them know is required by law? No.
