Prelude AFB question

Does anyone know if the factory Honda Prelude Audio Feedback sound system still functions with aftermarket stereo??

Are these microphones located in the speakers??

I would say that no it does not, if I remember from changing mine there are additional wires in place for that? It's of no consequence anyways, change to better speakers and you'll be better off. I just changed to some Focal 6 x 9's in the back and they'll be waaaaay better!

Follow up question:

when you put in new speakers, did you bypass the factory amp?? I don't plan to put in an amp, just to run a new stereo and new speakers. I'd assume it would be better not using the factory amp.

How power does that tiny amp even provide??
