For those of you with a MIG welder at home, where do you get your gas and how much does it run for tank deposit and the gas?

Most hardware stores will have it, even some Canadian Tire stores. Anywhere that sells MIGs, usually. I wouldn't use CO2 personally, Nitrogen works MUCH better as it is more inert. Anything with an oxygen component isn't the absolute best for welding with.

Can't remember the last price I paid, but it's not too much.

OxyPro - I believe they are down around 42nd AVE south or something?

There's a few different mixes you can get (dual or Tri mix) for your mig. Talk to the dealer when your down there to know what will work best for your application

Just the gas alone is roughly $140, and the bottle I am not sure
( I would imagine a few hundred also)?

Yeah, right across from RCTS. I get my CO2 from there for my beer kegs :)

Weldco, right in the Manchester business park, right across blackfoot from Shaw GMC... just stay on that road and it'll be on your left.

I believe you need to have a contract which is a yearly fee then plus the cost of the gas.

but air liquide is one of the many places in the city you can get it.

Air Liquide will fill it as long as it has those safety qualifications...

+1 for Oxy pro, they were extremely helpful in getting me a 5lb C02 tank for beer kegs. Air Liquide wouldn't help me.
