Toro Rosso shit the bed on strategy. I don't see why they didn't give Vettel any fuel when they switched to dries. They shouldve had second.

how do you figure?

He made a call on the wets, it was almost a bad call, and then Glock lost 18 seconds and Hamilton won.

holy shit that was the best finish to a season I've seen.
Glock slowed 18s on the last lap and lost like 3 positions.
Hamilton was definitely lucky there. I thought he was done when Vettel passed him.

Massa did drive really well today though. Just bad luck this year for him.

I just had a "Bad luck vs Bullshit calls" argument with my Ferrari fan buddy and he's pretty sure that if Massa hadn't had bad luck (Mechanical, other drivers) and Hamilton hadn't had bullshit calls that Massa would've ended up winning.

Not 100% but he calculated Massa would have won by 4 points. Bad luck doesn't count him spinning like a retard either.

sure he's had his moments, but look at all the "penalties" LM took for no reason, LM couldve won it last race

Wow Hamilton almost didn't win the championship again. Had the heavy rain didn't come for Hamilton, Glock would have been able to keep his pace and Massa would win. Very exciting finish. Massa did what he was supposed to do... he has no reason to hang his head.

Guys at the end of the day, what counts is the championship points total after the final race. There are a lot of could haves, and should haves throughout the year on both sides... but they don't count. That's racing. I rooted for Massa this year and he would be a worthy champion, if Lewis didn't win today (some may disagree but whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins... that's one thing that is clear). Cards fell Hamilton's way today and he is the worthy champion for 2008. After years of watching boring F1 with Schumacher winning everything, I am just glad that we got two years of exciting F1 actions in a row.

Congrats Lewis:)

HAHAH, YEEEAAHHH HAMILTON!!! THAT WAS AWWWWESOME. Crrrazy drama!!

Lewis Hamilton
2008 WORLD CHAMPION!

Youngest World Champion ever!!! He deserves it! He earned it all season long. Consistently high finishes, not just first places. I've always found it retarded that the world champion doesn't get a televised interview or award ceremony immediately after the final race of the season at the race track --- especially this time since Hamilton makes F1 history.

Congratulations, good job, Hamilton!

At the end of the day, the drivers championship is for the fans. It's more like winning a beauty contest.

The car manufacturers really care about the constructors championship points......

I hope McLaren reimburses Toyota in a large monetary fashion for the Glock nosedive in the last lap. No I don't think they did it on purpose, but I'd like to see an in car for both Hamilton and Glock.

LMAO, Sore loser eh?

Driver's Championship is for the DRIVERS. The DRIVERS who drive those machines care about that Championship at the end of the day. At the end of the day the drivers want that the most, stopping kidding yourself. Hamilton the youngest and most consistent driver in a season in F1 history, get use to it.

I don't support any of the teams or drivers. I've been watching F1 for 24 years and just watch it for the racing (which seems to be lacking the past few years).

Will be interesting to see what next years changes bring and hopefully there will be some real racing and passing. Todays race was a snoozer except for the last 8 laps.

Cool! I watch F1 to see good racing and passing. I don't care who wins or who the latest and greatest driver is.

Hopefully F1 can get some good racing and passing going with next years changes.

I kept switching b/w TSN and Speed to avoid the commercials but at the beginning of the race they mentioned Bernie has talked to the teams about doing the Canadian GP for 2009. Anchor stated they've been in talks and Bernie said there is a 100% chance the race will happen if Montreal gets the funding in place (I suspect this $$$$$ needs to be found very soon). YUL may happen in 09

I should also mention Vettel, damn this guy can drive, whatever team snatches him next year has a good future.

I lost interest in F1 a few years ago, but I'm just getting back into it thanks to this season. I like SCCA Touring Car or BTCC for interesting and competitive racing action.

Glock didn't switch to intermediate tires at the end of the race and it became slick b/c of rain so he couldn't control his car late in the race

Glock and Trulli both lapped in the 1:44s on the last lap, both on dries, while everyone else was around the 1:26s, hence the Hamilton pass.

And Glock was lapping slightly faster than Trulli, which should rule out any Ferrari conspiracy theorists claims that he sandbagged it.

Wow, what a race! That's definately the most nail biting ending I've seen ever. Win the championship on the last corner!

As a McLaren and Hamilton fanboy, it was so nerve wracking. I'm down in SF and found a bunch of F1 fans and watched the race with them at a bar over beers at 8am. The Ferrari fans were going nuts when Vettel got past, then last lap silence, and the McLaren fans went nuts. What a crazy atmosphere.

I wish there was something like this in Calgary, these guys watch most of the races live. 100 F1 nuts in one place, can't get better than that!

Some new friends from bay area. Honda fan looks just like Button haha.

I entered a raffle and figured I'd win the 2 Hamilton pics since I was the only one wearing full McLaren gear. I won 2 prizes (got picked 3rd) and surprisingly, both Hamilton pics were gone already. Lots of McLaren fans out there, but I guess they all hid LOL.

Ended up with a nice pic of Massa. WTF do I do with that? haha

Luck? More like Karma... Hamilton should've won it even before coming to Brazil if it wasn't for the FIA lol.

Why blame glock? You might as well blame god for sending down full rain in the last lap which caused glock to lose that much time.

What I was a bit surprised about was how conversative Lewis and McLaren were. I thought they were a bit too conservative and left themselves no room for error and it almost cost them big time.

That's actually a pretty rare thing to find in the states. Not many people watch F1 in the states, since it has nothing to do with Nascar or football. That's pretty cool though!

Unbelievable finish! I was in attendance and being one of the only mclaren fans was pretty tough, the brazilians were pretty passssionate for massa. I was on the back straight , and we didnīt have a big screen to show times. So i was copletely oblivious that hamilton won until he drove by shaking his fistīs. Watching the heartbreak in all those fans faces, after they thought massa had won. Deffiently the highlight of the race, so good.

Other than that, the Brazilians donīt know how to keep the fans entertained, there were hours at a time with nothing happening on the track. I went with an english couple, who had been to 3 previous races this year. They both said it was a pathetic event, Almost like they didnt give a shit about the fans.

Excelllent pics! It's not easy taking pics of F1 cars with a point and shoot. It's a lot easier with the right camera gear :). Out of 300 pics I took with a point and shoot at a F1 race, 3 turned out acceptable lol.
