So I have a question, something to discuss that I'm sure all of us have ran into at one point or another and has affected us also in one way or another... internet pornography.

Do you think it's OK? Do you think it's bad? Why?? Should it be restricted even more, or have lighter restrictions than currently are in effect? Just curious about your opinions! Some say it should be restircted even mroe since it's too easy to come by, yet others say it's better to have our kids beat off instead of going out and screwing their 14 year old neighbors and knocking them up.

One of my wifes relatives used to watch full blown pornos all the time with her 3 and 1 yr old kids. The 1 yr old was like whatever, looks like bugs bunny to me, but he 3 yr old started to mimic the moves and would hump the couch and get on top of her parents and the 1 yr old and start moaning and stuff. It was hilarious to watch, but the same time I was shaking my head and said WTF!! They were kinda clueless, but I told them not to do that anymore.

I got into all kinds of shit when I was a kid, nothing too severe, I consider myself a delinquent when I was growing up, but at least my parents trained and trusted me to do the right thing and not meet up with some 40 year old man. Porn is more easily accessed today than when I was a kid. All I had was dial up connection and Show Case Revue (Sad that I remember the names) and scrambled porn.

Today I have light speed, and torrent sites. Not to mention all the late night programming now offered on multiple channels.

I have 2 children in grades 1 and 2. and the way I am going to control porn on the internet is they will not have a computer in thier own room untill much latter, 16+ possibly earlier depending ont he maturity they show...hell if my son has a tough time finding porn when he is in his teens, I'll show him how to find the f: partition I use to keep my wife from finding mine

and will use a family filter when they begin using the internet more, and on their own.

One of the few things I've learned about certain individuals in society is that anyone who's prone to labeling things as "deviant", "immoral", and "is the cause of evil" is practically speaking for themselves.


As in, THEY are affected by these things in a negative way and therefore perceive it as something that needs to be suppressed.

It is the same drive that has led certain religions to persecute women. "It's their fault for being so irresistible", they say. "That's why I just couldn't help it but rape her".

That said, I believe anyone who considers porn to be so evil and vile, subconsciously like porn. The key word is subconscious - you are not aware of it, but you definitely like it contrary to what you might outwardly be professing. Sex is a basic human drive and desire. However, these people who hate porn have been programmed, either by religion, suppressed memory of a bad sexual experience (having been raped and abused as a child), or maybe just general public opinion that enjoying sex is bad and that sex isn't something just to be had by anyone.

They then have developed this guilt mechanism wherein everytime sex is presented in an enjoyable manner, it triggers that string of mental "coding" if you will and activates that embedded guilt file.
