I owned vehicles before I was 16.. Even had a sportbike then... thats not the problem here, him being reckless is the problem..

That's so sad, didn't Saskatchewan use to be 15 for driver's license? That is so young.

Is it illegal to OWN a car? Obviously to drive one at that age, yes...but what about simply buying one?

There is no minimum age to purchase a car. Dealers are only supposed to sell to people with a drivers license (so 16+ in most provinces I think). But this was probably a private sale.

WOW, Thats sad. However, yes, there isn't a legal age on purchasing a car. I sold my Neon to a 14 year-old last year.
