Description :

Well the time has finally come to get rid of my baby because my wife and I just had a real one :P. I no longer have the time for a project car right now and need a second car that that will accommodate my wife and 2 daughters better. I have taken great care of this car for the last 3 and a half years and hope it will go to a good home. Some of you may be aware of my project thread here so you can see everything as it was happening. I will not reply to low ballers and for the amount of work and money poured into the car I think the price is very reasonable. The older man that sold it to me took great care of it before me and always had it serviced at Calgary Honda since new and I continued making sure everything was working great on it.

- Calgary car since it was purchased new at Calgary Honda in 1990
- I was the second owner

Mr_ET
11-29-2007, 11:33 PM
so are you saying if you were in the market you would buy it if it had a stock engine or that you are actually interested in buying of I remove it, cause that can be arranged for a serious buyer.

topher91
11-30-2007, 09:36 AM
Well how much would you ask for it without the turbo?

Well Finboy your mailbox is full and I guess I can write it here also. If the turbo is removed I would be looking for about $4500.

I can uninstall everything this weekend if the buyer is serious enough:thumbsup:

^^^^you say 4200 with out the turbo! how much do you want for the turbo or will you not sell it and if you will sell just it will it fit any motor? I wanted to try to fit one im my 94 Sunbird! Do you think that will work?^^^^

oh and does the turbo Spool up nice?

Mr_ET
01-01-2008, 06:37 PM
Yes I mean the car without the turbo kit for 4200$.

The turbo kit will fit in a civic 90-91 without modification as long as it still is a d series under the hood.

It should fit with minor modifications under the hood of an 88-91 civic or an 88-91 crx.

With a bit more work it could work for any d series powered civic from 88-2000 but I am sure some new intercooler pipes might be needed and maybe a few other things.

The kit will NOT work with a 94 Sunbird... Since the only thing you could use is the turbocharger and no other parts this would not work for you and I am not looking to sell the kit part by part at this time.

Right now the kit is still installed on the car and can be removed for any serious buyer. If the car is sold without the kit, I will open a new FS thread to sell the kit by itself.

thx

Etienne

i cant believe your selling this. if timing was better i would buy it off you. this thing pulls like nothing i have been in before. its in great shape also. good luck with the sell.

are you seriously removing the turbo? i would thing the car wouldnt be the same with out the power that the turbo delivers. it throws you in your seat.

Mr_ET
01-08-2008, 04:15 PM
yeah, I needed a more family oriented car and since the wife was afraid to drive mine now and it's a 2 door hatch it didn't make sense to keep as a second daily driver.

I would much prefer selling the car with the turbo installed but because it would need a bit of tuning and because of the time of year it's a bit harder to sell than a more "stock" civic.

Since you've seen and been in the car how would you describe the overall condition?

xtreme prelude
01-09-2008, 10:10 PM
well, when you took me for a spin, i was all smiles, like i said, that car pulls real nice. i have seen it and would buy it in an instant if i could get the funds together. car was super clean when i saw it. i didnt think it needed much of anything.

how much does it cost to tune the car properly?

Mr_ET
01-09-2008, 10:22 PM
probably about 250-300 at tecmotion.

I also have a boost controller and the car is only on a 7 psi spring right now so that could be turned up to get close to 200whp on the stock block and it would run 13's at racecity in the low 100mph.

the only thing right now is it runs too rich when cold and though the current street tune is safe it could make more power everywhere at this boost level.

So how much do you want for it with the turbo?

Mr_ET
01-10-2008, 07:11 AM
It is currently still at 5500$ with the turbo but I am negociable at that price.

If you're interested send me a pm and I'll give you my phone number and address and we can talk about price after you've had a chance to see it in person.

thx

I've been following your thread forever, is the kit still installed? I am looking for a cheap, yet fun toy for my weekends, as far as your tune, ecu, turbo set up goes, is it realistic to assume trouble free driving in your honest opinion after a dyno tune? Would you be willing to provide a small amount of tech support in the spring if a few questions came up? Do you have pics of the car before bodywork was done?, could i please get a pic of the rust that is forming on the underside of the rr fender, and possibly a pic of the undercarriage. Finally, are you mostly available weekends, or some week day evenings too? I am only available after 6 on weekdays. I would like to have a ride in the car with you driving, then i would like to drive, If you would spend a little time running me through your set up, making an effort to show me the little quirks and such with the car as well, that"d be great. To be honest, I want an s2k, however, investments are my priority, and i think your civic would make a nice compromise for me. P.S. Was your civic frequently parked close to the canadian tire in beddington/huntington area a couple years back? Thanks for your time answering the questions, I definately have enough funds to purchase as well, sincerely, Russ.
