Need to dispose of an engine block

I have an old iron engine block that I need to get rid of.

What's the best way to do so? I would rather not just throw it in the dump, I would prefer to give it to someone who's going to recycle it.

I have a car going to the junkyard, think I should just throw it in the back seat?

Take it to any metal place, then you will get some cash back.

Federal metals pays pretty good, could also try calgary metals.

What kinda blocks do you guys have? If anyones got a V8 block in any shape (1 piece) they want to get rid of, i would probably pick it up and take it off their hands.

nope, no V8. its basically 1/2 of a 7m-gte w/ a big ass hole in the side of the last cylinder

I believe PickNPull does free pick ups, but you get no money for the car. But if you can drive the car to them yourself, they give you some coin.

Used to be like that a few years ago, might have changed now.

You should be familiar with several of the blocks in discussion on here. Including the one in my garage, and the one sitting in the back alley of teknical's house ;)
