driving imported car in winter

hey, i just imported my nissan 180sx and was wondering if anyone in the past has driven their rhd imported car in the calgary winters??? if so how was it, and did you have to do anything to the car to make it compatible other than winter tires...
ie: undercoat, add weight in the ass end, only use studded tired.... etc
