They would never do it unfortunately. It seems as though that todays age, and the people who will be buying cars like this (two door "sports" car) are not looking for those two doors with the back seats/area as tight as 6 year olds vagina (settle down Sorath). Or even so the cramped style of some of the older sports cars. They want something where they are given the feel of a sport compact, but they have the space to do much more. At least thats what I would like.

From what I can see the amount of space inside will be pretty good, and I kinda like it.

If the GT-R signifies Nissan's Innovation, the 350z signifies their heritage, then the Silvia (or the 240sx or the 200sx or the 180sx.....you know what I meant...) is the model that signifies their youth. Since the famous (relatively) low cost FR sport coupe ended production in August of 2002. Young drivers armed with a fresh license and too much Initial D anime + Option drifting videos, are all yelling and screaming like the AGK (Angry German Kid) on youtube, demanding the comeback of the FR icon.

Admist all the GT-R coverage dominating the media, It has been reported that the Nissan "Silvia" has been confirmed by both the CEO of Nissan Carlos Ghosn and Nissan's COO Toshiyuki Shiga, and will be making its comeback in 2010 with a price point between 2,000,000~2,500,000 JPY. (18-23K conversion)

Obliviously there are on information at this point on its spec other than it will be a FR sport coupe utilizing the new "Z" platform and possibility powered by a Renault engine.

Since Nissans only have two platforms and engines they should just sell two cars with removable front and rear bumpers.

Nissan X available in 2 or 4 door with standard V6.
Options: Infinity G35 Bumpers (available on 2 & 4 door models), 350Z bumpers (2 door X only), Silvia bumpers (see 350Z)

Nissan Y available in 2 or 4 door with optional V6 on 4 door models.
Options: Altima Bumpers (available on 2 & 4 door) with standard 4 cyl (V6 optional), Maxima Bumpers on 4 door only with standard V6

May as well drop the Sentra altogether since Nissan only sells about 10 - 20 a year LOL!

Just think how many trees would be saved in brochures if they went this route.

Wow! Its the new Scion TC. Im staring at one about 15ft from me and the similarities are unreal. From the front lights back, including wheels, its a Scion Tc. I know Nissan makes great platforms and engines....but slapping on a bumper or a seperate body panel is not being original. I know the Nissan fanboys argue that Nissans are about the driving, and not about looks..but damn Nissan needs some visual designers. We know Nissan has the capabilities, since they do have the best looking and sounding affordable coupe in the market (G35). Then again, its just a rendering and hopefully by 2010 this Scion/SLK/Altima will have a "distinct" identity.

The link to the red version TOTALLY looks Tibby. I would like to think that Nissan would not copy a "lesser" car to any degree.

As for the original silver rendering that started the post, I like it. But there is no point in making it look sporty if it isn't going to be. And if it IS, then that would seriously enroach on the Altima coupe I'd think.
