http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans/112_0801_mitsubishi_lancer_evolution_comparison/road_test_data.html

X =
5.4 seconds 0 to 60
14.0 seconds @ 96.9mph 1/4 mile
0.99g skidpad
295hp / 300ft.lbs torque
60 to 0 = 111ft

IX =
4.7 seconds 0 to 60
13.4 seconds @ 102.2 1/4 mile
0.95 skidpad
286hp / 289 ft.lbs torque
331 pounds lighter
60 to 0 = 113ft

Same turning circle
X has a much better weight distribution, 56/44 compared to the IX 60/40.
X = 1.5 seconds slower around almost a 3 mile track.
X is more then 3 seconds slower to 100mpg then the IX

X has a cleaner burning engine, and pollutes less, but the IX still gets better fuel economy. Motertrend observed 2mpg average better in the IX then the X

good read, cant decide anymore between STi or Evo X

I never understood this, how do you get a slower 1/4 mile time but faster trap speed?

Is that due to not being able to lock up off the line?

I still like the look of the X better anyways,

New RalliArt on trade-in FTW!

So, they so scale the warranty back on the new one. Mitsu must be really confident about their quality.

Mitsu is tryin to broaden there appeal in the N.A
i believe they were close to top manufact in japan,
like there eclipse, there target consumers is everyone.
part of why are getting so heavy it cause consumer want more for there money,so more crap in the new cars, they get fatter for smoother driving.

i still like the new evo, as it is way more advanced, and if after market parts come out it can be made into a frickin rocket
