They got the Hoff, just not the trans am.

I guess they don't have to budget like Transformer for GM to build one-offs.

The whole point of KITT is that it blended in. He could park it and drive it around without attracting attention. If KITT was a Koenigzegg or a Camaro concept, it would look cool, but it would also be stupid according to the story line.
