Nice truck. How's the drivetrain on this truck? In particular, the front and rear diff?

the rear diff is the heavy duty one. The front seems to be fine.

I have some new front wheel bearings on order since they are a bit worn. They will be replaced before the sale of the truck and are included in the price.

Otherwise its all good.

Thanks. Besides the wheel bearings, what repairs have you made to this truck, if any?

Stinky you should check with your local dealer. There is currently a recall on the 02-03 Liberty's for ball joints. My buddy had his in the shop for the recall and I think the dealer replaced his uppers, lowers and wheel bearings all under the recall.

they did the bearings under the recall as well?

I am going to call in the morning then. I know my lower ball joints were just done. But it was not done under the recall.

Thats good to know. Thank you much for the tip!

I used to own this Jeep. I posted that perhaps he was not being honest, and I retract that since I don't know the guy and cannot say for sure. However, I have two words for anyone who is interested in this Jeep: "Rear Diff". I'll let the current owner figure out what (if anything) is to be done about it.

For the record though, as of last summer this was a solid and nice vehicle. Good condition overall for sure, and let's face it - it's one of (if not THE) cheapest Liberty in town.

not much for interest. I just contacted the poster of the "claim". I think he miss diagnosed a problem. when I stated the front bearings are gone, he thought it was something else. Which he did not "realize" until after he sold the truck.

Now that I have it in my posession and have gone over it, I know what the problem is, and as stated the vehicle will be 100% before anyone buys it. I have asked the poster of that comment to edit the text. Its a bit harder now that it has been quoted. But anyway.

Anyone who comes to look at the truck will be told exactly what was wrong, and what was done. If the problem is still there is will be noticeable. So its not like you can "hide" it somehow. Unless I can get you to wear ear plugs while you test drive it:D

:drama:

thank you Kloubak.

As I stated in my post above, if something is still wrong after the front bearings are done then it will still be very obvious. If its the rear diff, then we will get there when we get there.

The other point is still very valid. This is the cheapest jeep you will find in the area. Any problems are being worked on as we speek. So it will be ready to go.

[end drama] :)

Was this just bought from someone in Edmonton? Why you selling already?

nope, this was not just bought from a guy in edmonton.

I have a few reasons for selling. Mostly because my family does not fit in this anymore. I need something bigger. are you asking because you are interested, or are you trying to prove something?

Here is the reason I was asking if this was from Edmonton or maybe its just you posting up there too (not sure)....

Strictly an observation, thats all:

This was showing the exact same Jeep for $12,000...

Ironically enough the pics are now gone.

hmmm.

Sorry I dont know anything about that one.

I am in Airdrie though. I have the jeep listed on here and usedcalgary.

I will be getting an ad in the bargain finder and possible canadatrader next week.

I have never looked at that other site before. Wish I could be of more help for you though. The truck is all ready to be viewed if you are interested.
