I've found that I prefer to shoot without the grip, the added weight and bulk doesn't appeal to me now with my limited shooting. It is great for portraits though.
Grip will fit the 20d or 30d, comes with AA battery cartridge, box etc. Never had a problem with it, great for portraits. Currently sells for $289 at The Camera Store (http://www.thecamerastore.com/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=31650). $170 local Calgary pick up, shipping at buyers expense.
