I was looking through one of the dealer pamphlets of the new 08 Grand Caravans and some of the new features in it are pretty sweet (two televisions, Sirius tv, and the mygig entertainment system). Why has it taken so long to load all this stuff in a minivan? I would have loved this thing on long family road trips when I was a kid. It one minivan I wouldn't mind getting caught driving.

I think dodge is compensating with all of that sweet shit on the inside, cause on the oustide it looks like some 3 year old drew a square with wheels and dodge put it into production, It is the uggliest van ive seen in a while.

 How long has it been since you were a kid? This stuff isn't exactly old technology.

First of all when was the last time you've seen a good looking van?

I actually really like the new body of the caravan. I'm tired of seeing all the jelly-bean bodied cars. I think the new one looks like it's geared more towards men.

Lots of nice goodies inside for sure. Now Chrysler should work on the reliability (or lack thereof).

Pretty much all the daily driven vans we see are family use, so won't have the need to be pimped out. You want crazy vans, or midsize, just look at the vehicles that the japanese release.
Some of the vehicles that they come up with makes me wonder what actually goes on in their minds.
I mean i knew they lost it with video games (mario galaxy especially).
Don't get me wrong though, some of the vans are just pimped.
They take their import scene to the next dimension with vans.
Just watch the little behind the scenes on it in "Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift".
And if you ever are bored, take a look at the japanese auction, and look up some weird names under common makers.
You will see some pretty pimped out, but alot of pretty unusual vans, and passenger vehicles.

Because I'm sure that no one EVER realized that. That's why we have write ups on the S-cargo.

I think they're working on the reliability by offering the lifetime powertrain limited warranty. It's standard on the Caravan. It's definitely a good selling point for Dodge/Chrysler.

Now they need a 5speed and turbo like the old caravans

They need to sell their van based on gadgets and gimmicks and scam marketing. Because it's riding on ancient technology, and built like crap. It's basically the old chassis with a new body. That's it. Nothing improved. Swivel 'n Go? They had those in the early 80's Toyota Le Van/Lite Ace and even those old VW minivans had them.

don't have to look far... Volkswagen Eurovan VR6!

I used to own a 9-seater Eurovan... by far the best family vehicle ever. 5-speed manual!

The Honda Odyssey is the best to drive and has the best engine according to Edmunds.

Well, you sure need it. We had a Caravan as a rental a few months back and you couldn't pay me to drive one of those things. I know it's a bit of the apples vs. oranges but the Sienna and Odyssey have them beat hands down.

maybe cause by putting TVs back then in the minivan would have forced the parents to leave u behind due to lack of space haha
