usually, it work like a save card, but u can dl the mini game from ps/ ps one to play.

There are some games that have a hidden downloadable mini games that require this peice to get. Completing the mini games will get you rare items. Ex: Tales of Destiny, Final Fantasy 8, etc. cool huh? Or u can ask the people who work in the game trader shop and they should tell u more.
