bump! guys if ur gonna come and test drive my car for 5 or 10 minutes then wen u come back u tell me oh i gotta talk to my wife or my dad then y r u even looking for a 89 crx the car isnt a 2007 to be the mintest car around all the car needs is a passenger side ball joint witch is 95 dollars for the part i even got the recipite for the drivers side and it needs a wheel aliginment witch is 80 bucks at kaltire,the car is a winter beater or could be good for a new standard driver, i dont know y these people get so worried to put a couple hundred bucks the price is OBO ITS NOT FIRM

I did not chicken out I drove from Saskatoon to see a crx that is rust (or close to rust free) and could put my whole hand into the rocker panel from under the drivers side.

I looked at this car early in the game, and turned it down, this is a very missleading statement, otherwise i would have bought it myself.
Car had some very major bondo work done to it. Its so thick in some areas, its already begining to crack through the paint on both sides of the car. The body side moldings had been removed bondo'd over, the whole bottom section has been sprayed with rubberized undercoating, then painted over. The rear bumper has been hit and separated from the body, the front end was hit with the drivers headlight pushed in an inch an no longer lines up, the front upper rad support was all bent out of shape. The drivers door has no lock cylinder at all, and requires you to go through the passenger side just to unlock the door from the inside.

On the plus side, interior looked ok, and the engine seemed to run fine.

I only stated all these things cause the seller was not honest about the condition, there were a number of spots rust was begining, i felt i wasted my time looking at it. It the body was clean, i would have bought it in a heartbeat.

I agree too, I did notice everything that Deetz seen and will add to the fact that the rockers on the car are shot! I popped up the inside entrance plastic and could see the ground below the car! the crx's are bad for hidding this because of the plastic trim covering the the rockers. I could put my hand into the bottom floor pan(rockers) from under the car. You would have to weld in a piece of metal 4-6''wide and the length off the door to repair this! I also did notice that the passenger side fender is missing the inner plastic fender probably forever and the door pillar on that side is rotted to shit! I did drive this car up the street and back and if I let go of the steering wheel I would have ended up on someones lawn, (THIS AFTER I HAD ASKED THE SELLER IF I WOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE THIS BACK TO SASKATOON).
THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THIS CAR FOR 6 HOURS ON THE HIGHWAY.
The seller did tell me that it would need a wheel alignment because of the upper left ball joint being changed, but I have changed probably 20 upper ball joints on honda's and changing them doesn't make them that out of whack!

I ASKED HIM BEFORE I MAKE THE TRIP IF THERE IS RUST HE TOLD ME ''NO '' JUST LIKE THE ADD SAYS.
I SENT HIM A DEPOSIT AND TOLD HIM THAT IF I MAKE THE TRIP AND THE CAR IS NOT WHAT HE SAID IT IS I WOULD BE UNHAPPY AND WOULD WANT MY DEPOSIT BACK.

i drove the car for 2 weeks,i bought the car off an owner that told me that he owned it for 10 years,the drivers side ball joint was totaly broken (not drivable) wouldnt start cuz battery put in a coupla hundred bucks on battery and ball joint but the mechanic coulda told me there was rust under the car but he didnt and i didnt even stay beside him all day and wen he was closing he told that i needed the passenger side ball joint and wheel alignment ,i drove the car just to get me around to find my self a van or a truck but i honestly didnt check underneath the car.

I came down from edmonton as well to look at this car ((waste of time)

i also have nothing posative to say about the seller or the car.

didnt this car have a yellow upper rad support and the bumper used to be red poorly painted black. And the alignment it needed seemed like some bent or damaged suspension such as curb damage...

the car was not road worthy when i looked at it i was scared briving it around the block, haha. had to hold the wheel croooked to go straight, pulled to one side really bad, bald tires and bad mushy brakes.

seller definatly not honest when it came to describing the car.
