Hello everybody,

I am selling my Compaq Laptop that I purchased from Staples (Calgary) in June of 2005 for $1600 plus tax and warranty. Currently it still has warranty till the end of May 2008 but I am not sure if its transferrable.

The laptop is in perfect shape, except for the minor scratches here and there. The screen works perfectly...no dead pixels.

I would rate its physical condition at about 9/10. It has everything one needs to use it daily and is decently fast. The only downside is that its a 15.4" for those who prefer a smaller laptop like me.

Here's a few details:

- 15.4" BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800) Display
- 2.2GHz AMD Athlon™64 Processor 3500+ with Cool'n'Quiet™ Technology
- 80GB Hard drive
- 1024MB DDR RAM (1 x 1024MB)
- ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200M IGP
- 8X - DVD Burner/ 24X CD Burner - with Dual Layer Support
- Windows XP Home (Genuine), Microsoft Office 2007, Acrobat Professional, Adobe Designer, Nero and much much more.
- 4 - HI-Speed USB Ports
- 5-in-1 Built-in Card Reader
- upto 3 hours battery life (reliastically lasts about 2 hours on regular use)
- Includes Power Adapter - 90W AC adapter
- 8-Cell Lithium-Ion battery
- Comes with all manuals and accesories including original receipt of purchase if required

Here's some stuff from the internet:

Fax/Modem - high speed 56k modem
Network Card - Integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector)
Wireless Connectivity - 54g™ 802.11b/g WLAN with 125HSM/SpeedBooster™ support
Sound - 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro-compatible audio; AC audio link; volume control button and mute button

The laptop still works incredibly fast, even faster than the hp tx1314ca I currently have with Vista on it. (Just cus XP is a more efficient operating system IMO)

The laptop comes with all the original brochures and the original box if required. It also comes with a fresh install of Windows XP Home Edition (LEGAL) and a Microsoft Office 2007, Acrobat Professional 7.0 and a few other interesting software that I use on a regular basis.

$360!

Prospective Buyers are more than welcome to try out the laptop before they buy it.

Thank you for your interest. I hope my price is right... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. This computer is very fast (not just for its age) so don't try to lowball me.

Hi Guys,

This is back up for sale. The reason I took this off the market before was because our old desktop (second computer) gave up on us so I decided to use this as our backup computer in case our main computer ever messed up. But now we have too many computers in our house lol.. We have a main desktop, and 3 laptops excluding this one ... so time for this to go. Open to reasonable offers. This is a great starter laptop that works perfectly. Its just a little bulky thats all.. was the best laptop I could get for my price range of ~$1600 in 2005 before I started Uni.

Everyone is more than welcome to come try it out. It doesn't even slow down with a Dual monitor setup-like it is running right now.
