Anyone know if the Park'n Ride plugins at the C-train stations are turned on or working? During the cold spell last week, I had plugged my car in at the C-Train Station there at Brentwood and in the evening when I started my car, it definitely felt like it was not plugged in all day. I was lucky that it started at all! Anyways, did I just get a bad plug or does the city turn them on/off whenever they feel like it? Kind of dumb if they turn them on or off whenever they choose to. Maybe they think some grow-op will tap into those lines...

I used to keep a trouble light in my car for these situations. Now, i don't don't park and ride.

i don't know about all the stations but i know for sure that the anderson station do work. but it's not consistently on. they are cycled between different times, and different areas. so it would depend on what time you get there.

I was at Brentwood about a week ago and my plug in has a little light on the end to tell you if it's alive or not. The light was clearly not "on". I had to cycle through a couple of plug ins before I got one that worked.

So, i'm guessing that some work. Some are just there for show.

Like zoik said they wire them up in different zones so to speak. They only come on for like 20 min or so every couple hours or something like that. They cycle the different zones throughout the day.

IIRC they are on for 10 mins off for 20 mins only when its below -10 or -20*C or something like that. I recall finding it on the calgary transit site last year.
