supra question!!

i was wonderin if a 7M-GTE is the original engine on an MK3 supra
or is this a swap?

its the origional engine in 87-92 supras.....86's weren't avalible with the turbo

The 1J series of engines never made it to North America, but ya they were in the MKIII Supra and a couple other cars to. North American MKIII's were equipped with the 7M series.

all i know is its a 89 supra turbo that say 7mgte on the front portion of the engine

:confused: You just said that 2 cars came with 2 different engines. MKI suprashad the 4M-GE i belive. and the MKII's had a 5M-GE , MKIII 7M-GE/GTE , JDM was the 6M-GTE and for all i know the MKIV's had the 2JZ-GE/GTE in them. wasn't the 1jz a JDM engine???

I'm saying the MKIII came with only the 7MGE and 7MGTE in North America only. However, the MKIII did come with other engine options, but they never made it here. 1JZ 1GZ

All of the engine combos made it into other cars but those cars never came to North America either, ie: the Chaser.
