Apple does not require a receipt for warranty on any of their products. They go by the registered date.

You can look up any Apple product on their website to determine warranty eligibility.

Touch is an overpriced piece of mp3 player ... yours has the small hdd too.

Since the OP sold his, I have a 16 GB I got at FS last week for a great price. It was $360 + tax. It is mint. Headphones not even opened yet (I used my old buds).

I was going to take it back. You can have it at invoice ($386 I think). I have until Jan 8th to take it back.

I'm hoping Apple releases a 16 GB iPhone.
